Body Composition Test Measures Fat, Muscle and Bone.
[SPOKANE, WA] January 25, 2012 – The New Year often means many people get laser-focused on their fitness goals and look to improve their overall health. Inland Imaging has added new imaging capabilities to help athletes find the answers they need for optimal fitness with unparalleled accuracy.
With the addition of the Hologic DXA machine, the advanced body composition testing identifies a detailed baseline for measuring body mass changes. The low dose X-ray DXA imaging technology provides a more consistent and accurate picture of a person’s body compared to bioimpedance testing, hydrostatic weighing and the skin-fold thickness tests more commonly used in fitness centers today.
The body composition test provides quick, accurate, and precise assessment of fat, lean tissue and bone with pinpoint clinical accuracy to aid the physician or athletic trainer to design effective training and nutritional programs.
The clients see clearly where fat is distributed throughout their body and receive an individualized report, with color images displaying the distribution of fat, lean tissue and bone throughout their body.
The assessment can help the client and trainer or physician monitor fitness goals to determine ideal weight and calorie needs, tracking weight loss, fat loss and lean muscle gain.
Body composition assessments are available at Inland Imaging’s Spokane Valley center, located at 12420 E. Mission Ave in the Spokane Valley.
