Prostate

Ultrasound is a non-invasive way to study many of the organs of the body. Ultrasound is high frequency sound waves, which penetrate the body and bounce off the internal structures, giving an electronically produced picture on a screen.

Prostate Ultrasound can be a useful adjunct for patients who need a prostate volume determined, patients with an elevated PSA, or patients in need of prostate needle biopsy. Inland Imaging uses state-of-the-art equipment to give you the most comfortable exam and best diagnosis possible.

Procedure

The technologist will ask the patient to lie on a table. A gel will be applied to a transducer. This transducer will be inserted into the rectum and the technologist will record images of the prostate on the computer.

After The Exam

A radiologist will interpret the images and send the results.
